Government of Chhattisgarh hasinformed that 44 new Gram Panchayats have been constituted in February, 2025, on the basis of administrative and geographical needs in Bastar Lok Sabha Constituency in the Naxal-affected and remote tribal areas of Chhattisgarh and all newly constituted Panchayats are getting adequate benefits of various schemesof the Central Government andStateGovernment. The total Grants under 15th Finance Commission for the period from FY 2020-21 to FY 2025-26 released to Chhattisgarh as (on 06.03.2025) is Rs. 6,514.69 Crore (Rupees Six Thousand Five Hundred and Fourteen point Six Nine Crore). Government of Chhattisgarh has also informed that a total of Rs. 62,95,854 /- (Rupees Sixty Two Lakh Ninety Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Four) under 15th Finance Commission grants for the financial year 2025-26 have been allocated by it to these newly formed 44 Gram Panchayats for creationof basic amenities.
