(a) and (b) Under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), till date establishment
of 22 All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been approved in various States/UTs
in the country. Out of the 22, 18 AIIMS are currently functional and 4 AIIMS are in different
stages of construction. The details of AIIMS are at Annexure-A. The completion of projects
depends upon various factors including transfer of encumbrance free land by the State
