Dr. Rajeev Bharadwaj: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has decided to open a Sub-Regional Office in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, to implement the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pattern in Government schools; (b) if so, the details thereof; and (c) the total number of schools in Himachal Pradesh currently affiliated with the CBSE? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a) to (c): Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) vide its notification dated 14.08.2024 (Annexure-I) has decided to open a Sub-Regional Office in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh besides 06 other new Regional Offices and 05 Sub-Regional Offices to facilitate its stake holders including students, parents, teachers and schools and conduct of Pre & Post Examination & other confidential activities smoothly and to execute its functions effectively in all the affiliated schools of Himachal Pradesh including Government category of schools. Total 505 schools in Himachal Pradesh are currently affiliated with CBSE. The details are as under: Level of Govt.
