GOVERNMENT OFINDIA MINISTRYOFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE DEPARTMENT OFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE LOK SABHA STARREDQUESTION NO. *197 TOBE ANSWERED ON THE 31THJULY,2026 PGCOURSES IN GOVERNMENTMEDICALCOLLEGES *197 SHRIPATELUMESHBHAI BABUBHAI: Will the MINISTEROFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE be pleasedtostate: (a) whether there is wide disparity in the fees prescribed for similar PG medical courses in Government Medical Colleges of variousStatesandUniónTerritories; (b) if so, the detailsthereof,along with the reasons therefor,State/UT-wise; (c)thedetailsofGovernmentMedicalCollegesineachUnionTerritoryinthecountry alongwiththe courses beingoffered andthe current fee structure therein; (d) whether the Government proposes to reviewthe fee structure of NAMO Medical Education and Research Institute, Silvassa to rationalize the same so as tokeep it affordable for students, if so, the detailsthereof; and (e)whether thetotalsanctionedpostsofregularprofessors,doctors, residentsandother designations are lying vacant in NAMO College, Silvassa, if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor alongwiththe impactof the said vacancies on the qualityof education,clinical trainingandmedical services, category-wise? Accordingly,the data regardingfee structure inmedicalcollegesisnot maintained Centrally. As perthe informationfurnished bytheNational Medical Commission (NMC), theUnion Territory- wisedetailsof GovernmentMedicalCollegesalongwiththecoursesofferedareplacedatAnnexure. Fixation and rationalization of the fee structure of NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute, SilvassafallswithinthedomainoftheAdministrationoftheUnionTerritoryofDadra&NagarHaveli andDaman& Diu/ Society registered inthisregard.
