Parliament Question: PM-SHRI Schools in Manipur

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF SCHOOL EDUCATION AND LITERACY LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO - 5882 ANSWERED ON – 30/03/2026 PM-SHRI Schools in Manipur 5882. Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) the total number of PM-SHRI Schools established in the State of Manipur; (b) the total amount sanctioned and released for these schools under the PM-SHRI scheme in the said State; and (c) whether the Government has received any complaints or detected any financial irregularities or misutilisation of funds in the implementation of PM-SHRI Schools in Manipur and if so, the details thereof along with the action taken thereon? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a): Under the PM SHRI scheme, a total of 121 PM SHRI schools have been selected till 25.03.2026 from the State of Manipur out of which 21 schools are Primary, 19 schools are elementary, 56 schools are secondary and 25 schools are senior secondary. The details of PM SHRI schools may be accessed on the website of PM SHRI scheme at the link: https://pmshri.education.gov.in/state. (b): The PM SHRI scheme was approved on 7th September, 2022 and for the State of Manipur, the release of funds started in FY 2023-24.
