**Summary:**
In FY 2024-25, Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Ltd. (NLCIL) and its Joint Ventures (JVs) generated 23131.6 MU of electricity. This power was supplied to distribution companies (discoms) across multiple states and union territories. Tamil Nadu received the largest share at 10651.5 MU, followed by Karnataka (4057.5 MU) and Andhra Pradesh (1524.1 MU). NLCIL delivers power at its plants' Switchyard (Ex-Bus) using the transmission infrastructure and electricity grid developed through State Transmission Utilities (STU) and the Central Transmission Utility (CTU). NLCIL does not directly engage in transmission activities, as these are the responsibility of the STU/CTU.
Power allocation to states is governed by the Central Electricity Authority's (CEA) "Guideline on the power allocation in Central Generating Stations".
Long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are in place between NLCIL and Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh for TPS II Stage-I, TPS II Stage-II, TPS II Expansion, and NNTPP plants. For the TPS I Expansion plant, PPAs are in place with Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, and Telangana.

Will the Minister of COAL be pleased to state:
(a) the details of States in the country which receive electricity generated by Neyveli Lignite
Corporation of India (NLC) along with the quantum of power supplied to each State from
Neyveli plant particularly to Tamil Nadu;
(b) the details of transmission infrastructure and networks used by the NLC to distribute
electricity to different States;
(c) whether there are any plans to strengthen or expand NLC's transmission infrastructure to
improve electricity distribution efficiency;
(d) the manner in which NLC address issues related to transmission losses, grid stability and
power quality during electricity distribution;
(e) the manner in which NLC determine the allotment of electricity to different States along
with the key factors considered for allotment of electricity; and
(f) whether there are any long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) between NLC and
Tamil Nadu or other States and if so, the details thereof?

(JVs) was 23131.6 MU in the FY 2024-25. The details of power supplied to the Distribution
