(a) the details of current enrolment rate for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana
(PMKMY), State-wise, particularly in Maharashtra and Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh;
(b) the details of the steps that are being taken to increase awareness and encourage
greater participation among small and marginal farmers, especially those nearing retirement
age;
(c) the details of measures in place to simplify the enrolment process and ensure smooth
pension disbursement once farmers attain the eligible age; and
(d) the details of number of farmers given pension under the scheme, State-wise,
particularly in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh?

(a) to (c): “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana (PMKMY)”, a central sector scheme, is
a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for the entry age group of 18 to 40 years with
a provision of minimum monthly assured pension of ₹ 3000/- on attaining the age of 60
years, subject to exclusion criteria. In the Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh, there are
2304 farmers enrolled under the PMKMY. Further, the State-wise details of farmers enrolled
under the Scheme are at Annexure.
The enrolment under the Scheme is done through the Common Service Centers
(CSCs) and a dedicated portal for PMKMY Scheme has been created by the CSC to ensuresmooth operations under the Scheme. The Government conducts drives to enroll farmers
under the Scheme from time to time. In addition, the adequate publicity is given to the
Scheme to increase awareness and encourage greater participation among small and
marginal farmers.
(d): The Scheme was launched in FY 2019-20 and the pension is disbursed on attaining
