JUNE MALIAH Will the Minister of CULTURE be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has undertaken any survey to identify and document the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Jangal Mahal region of West Bengal; (b) if so, the details thereof, district-wise; (c) the details of steps taken/being taken for preservation and promotion of such heritage; and (d) the details of funds allocated and utilized for this purpose during the last five years? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) (a) The Archaeological Survey of India has conducted village- to-village survey in Gopiballavpur- & I & II, Jhargram District, West Bengal in 2023-24 and a total number of 209 villages have (c) been surveyed out which 18 have been reported the antiquarians remains none of them to be identified as Monument of National Importance.
