The Unstarred Question No. 1292, raised by Shri Kanwar Singh Tanwar, asks the Minister of Culture whether collaboration with communities, education institutions, and NGOs will improve the documentation, preservation, and promotion of heritage and art in Amroha district, Uttar Pradesh. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, responded that the National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities (NMMA) undertakes documentation of antiquities and unprotected monuments in collaboration with various organizations, including individuals, NGOs, Universities, and State-Level Implementation Committees (SLIC). NMMA conducts workshops and training programs to raise awareness. While there is no specific project in Amroha district, NMMA activities are ongoing across the country, including Uttar Pradesh. To date, NMMA has digitized 12,46,211 antiquities and 11,406 unprotected monuments. The question of reasons for lack of collaboration does not arise.
