ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE OF THE MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS AND MINISTRY
OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS
[SHRI HARSH MALHOTRA]
(a): MY Bharat portal enables Ministries, Departments, organizations and
institutions to onboard and host their programmes. PMIS has collaborated
with MY Bharat to increase youth participation in internship opportunities
posted under PMIS, across the country. MY Bharat leverages its extensive
youth network and digital engagement platform to create awareness aboutPMIS and encourages the youth to apply for internships offered by partner
companies. The collaboration focuses on grassroots outreach, organizing
awareness and internship camps, and connecting aspiring candidates directly
with participating companies for internship opportunities. The PM Internship
scheme is being implemented as a national level scheme in which internship
opportunities are posted across districts/cities in all States/UTs. The
parliamentary constituency-wise data of the same is not maintained.
(b): As per the information provided by MY Bharat as on 16.07.2026, about 98000
youth have been mobilized across the country out of which 8428 candidates
have applied for internship on the PMIS portal. The State/UT-wise breakup of
youth who have applied for internsip including the states of Madhya Pradesh,
Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan is placed as Annexure. As
mentioned in reply to part (a) above, parliamentary constituency-wise data of
the scheme is not maintained.
(c): As on 16.07.2026, in partnership with MY Bharat, the Prime Minister Internship
Scheme (PMIS) has organized three outreach and internship camps to connect
youth with internship opportunities offered by partner companies and
organizations. These camps enabled direct engagement between candidates
and companies, helping the youth learn about available roles, understand
industry expectations, and complete application formalities. The details of the
participation in the above camps is as follows:-
S. Location No. of youth participated
No.
1. Chennai (Tamil Nadu) 600+
2. Pune (Maharashtra) 90
3. Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) 800+
So far, PMIS outreach camps have not been organised in Andhra Pradesh,
Nabarangpur and Malkangiri districts in Odisha, Jalgaon district in
Maharashtra, Shimla in Himachal Pradesh and Kutch district in Gujarat.
(d): MCA has been actively collaborated with State Governments of Andhra
Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha to carry out Information, Education andCommunication activities, including workshops, seminars, and promotional
campaigns - both online and on-ground to amplify program visibility and to
reach out to the target groups in various districts of the States. With active
support from states, awareness campaigns were carried out at educational
institutions such as ITIs, colleges etc.
(e): As on date, such a camp in Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh has not
been planned.
(f): The collaboration between PMIS and My Bharat aims to enhance awareness
among the youth regarding internship opportunities, facilitate their
engagement with representatives of participating companies, and support
them in completing the application process. Accordingly, the collaboration is
expected to enable a larger number of youth to apply for and participate in
internship opportunities offered under the PMIS. The initiative is also
expected to contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 by enhancing
the employability of youth and expanding access to industry exposure through
structured internship opportunities.
