Will the Ministerof HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleasedtostate:
(a) the number of residents of Daman and Diu referred to hospitals located outside the Union
Territory by the hospitals located in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and
DamanandDiu during the last five years, hospital-wise andyear-wise;
(b) the reasons as to why such a situation arose due to which they had to be referred to
outside hospitals;
(c) the total number of posts lying vacant in the Government hospitals of the said Union
Territory along with the date since when these posts are lying vacant and the time by which
these posts are likelytobe filled up;
(d) whether the hospitals of the said Union territory are being handed over to private
institutions, if so, the reasons thereof alongwith the Government policy under which these
