AMOL RAMSING KOLHE Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष और िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has approved large-scale procurement of pulses and oilseeds under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) in various States, if so, the details thereof; (b) whether Maharashtra, being a major producer of tur, gram, soybean and other oilseeds, has been covered under the said procurement programme, if so, the details thereof, district-wise; (c) the quantity of pulses and oilseeds procured from farmers in Maharashtra under PSS during the last three years and the current year, commodity-wise, along with the number of beneficiary farmers and amount disbursed, if so, the details thereof; (d) whether the Government proposes to expand procurement centres and storage facilities in drought-prone regions and if so, the details thereof; and (e) the steps taken to ensure remunerative prices and timely payments to farmers in Maharashtra and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR) (a) to (e) : The Government has approved procurement of pulses and oilseeds under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) in various States for Kharif, Rabi and Summer season 2025-26. Details placed at Annexure-I. As per the request of State Government, the district-wise details of pulses and oilseeds procured in Maharashtra along with number of beneficiaries and amount disbursed during last three years and current year is placed at Annexure-II.To ensure remunerative prices and timely payments to farmers, online pre- registration of farmers/authorized persons is carried out by the Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs)/State Governments, with Aadhaar-based biometric authentication at the time of registration to ensure transparent procurement. Procurement centres are opened by the State Government Agencies and CNAs, taking into account production, marketable surplus, convenience of farmers, and availability of logistics and infrastructure, including storage and transportation. To strengthen storage infrastructure, the Government is implementing the World's Largest Grain Storage Plan (WLGSP) in the Cooperative Sector for creation of scientific storage and other agricultural infrastructure at PACS level through convergence with existing Government schemes. Wide publicity regarding the prescribed Fair Average Quality (FAQ) specifications, procurement schedule and procurement centres is undertaken by the State Governments, CNAs and State agencies. MSP payments are made by the CNAs directly into the bank accounts of farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism.Annexure-I State-wise, Season-wise sanction and procurement details
