Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:-
(a) the progress of the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I as it nears completion in March, 2026 and the
total length of access-controlled High-Speed Corridors operationalized since 2014;
(b) the impact of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Ganga Expressway on reducing the travel-
time and logistics cost for industrial clusters in Western and Northern India; and
(c) the status of the "Parvatmala" (National Ropeways Development Programme) in providing last-
mile connectivity to high-altitude pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh?

(a) Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I was approved by the Government in 2017 covering a length of
34,800 km across the country at an estimated outlay of Rs.5,35,000 Crore. Under the program, projects
covering a total length of 26,425 km had been awarded and out of this, 22,223 km has already been
constructed upto February 2026.
(b) The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to reduce the travel time between the National capital
of Delhi and the financial capital of Mumbai from about 24 hours to about 12 hours. The expressway
connects key economic hubs across eight major states and UTs of India - Delhi, Uttar Pradesh,
Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Maharashtra.
The corridor will provide access-controlled connectivity to 93 National Master Plan (NMP) nodes, 8
Multi-Modal Logistic Parks (MMLPs), 12 ports and 8 airports including spur to Jewar Airport in Uttar
Pradesh, Navi Mumbai Airport and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) Port in Maharashtra.
Ganga Expressway is being developed by Uttar Pradesh State Government.
