SHRIB K PARTHASARATHI: SHRIMOHIBBULLAH: Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFARE be pleased tostate: (a) the total number of projects sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY),till date,State-wise; (b) the details of the approved outlay of the projects, along with the amount of Central and Stateshare released till date; (c) whether the Government has any details regarding the physical progress of the approved projects; and (d) if so, the detailsthereof,State-wise anddistrict-wise for the Stateof Andhra Pradesh? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (d) Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) was launched in 2006 with the objectives of correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/ reliable tertiary healthcare services and also to augment facilities for quality medical education in the country. There are two components of PMSSY- (I) setting up of new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) & (II) upgradation of existing Government Medical Colleges/Institutions (GMCIs) on Centre-State cost sharing basis by way of setting up Super SpecialityBlocks/ TraumaCentres/ procurementof medicalequipment.
