ANSWER
Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION (Shri Murlidhar Mohol)
(a) & (b): As per Greenfield Airports (GFA) Policy, 2008, TamilNadu Industrial Development Corporation
Limited (TIDCO), a Government of Tamil Nadu Enterprise submitted a proposal in November, 2025 seeking
Site Clearance for development of Greenfield Airport at Hosur. The proposal was circulated to Airports
Authority of India (AAI), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) for
comments/observations.
In order to prioritize the defence projects of national importance, being carried out by Hindustan Aeronautics
Limited (HAL) Airport and to enable operational preparedness of defence forces, the proposal has not been
recommended.
