ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (e) Under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), till date establishment of 22 All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been approved in various States/UTs in the country including one AIIMS at Guwahati in Assam, which is functional. Further, under another component of PMSSY, for expansion and strengthening of tertiary healthcare facilities in Assam, upgradation of Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati and Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh have been undertaken by way of setting up of Super- Speciality block on Centre-State sharing basis. Under PMSSY, there is no proposal to establish a newAIIMS at Silchar, Assam. *****
