Parliament Question: Proposals/Applications received by RRRLF

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CULTURE LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO.1339 TO BE ANSWERED ON 27.07.2026 PROPOSALS/APPLICATIONS RECEIVED BY RRRLF 1339. SHRI G KUMAR NAIK: Will the Minister of CULTURE be pleased to state: a) the details of all proposals/applications received and processed by the Raja RammohunRoy Library Foundation (RRRLF) from Karnataka State Library Authority since 2004, year-wiseand under Matching and Non-Matching Scheme-wise, including fund sought, sanctioned andreleased along with the status of each proposal; b) the details of all proposals relating to public and district libraries in Raichur district during the said period, including the fund sought, sanctioned and released; c) the details of the recorded grounds for rejection, return or pendency of each proposal,separately under Matching and Non-Matching Scheme-wise; d) whether the District Central Library, Raichur has received any financial, technical or infrastructure assistance under any RRRLF scheme or the National Mission on Libraries and, if so, the details thereof; and e) if not, the reasons therefor and whether any proposal for extending such assistance by the Government is under consideration? ANSWER MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) a) The details of financial assistance released under various schemes of RRRLF for development of public libraries, based on the eligible and recommended applications received from the Karnataka State Library Authority as per the guidelines of the schemes since 2004 are given at Annexure-A. b) The details of financial assistance released for development of public libraries in Raichur district under RRRLF Schemes, based on the eligible and recommended applications received from the Karnataka State Public Library Authority since 2004 are given at Annexure-B.c) Applications received under the RRRLF schemes are not considered if they are found to be ineligible due to non-submission of the requisite documents prescribed under the guidelines of the respective schemes. Further, applications are not considered if the Utilization Certificate (UC) in respect of any previously sanctioned financial assistance under the RRRLF schemes has not been received from the beneficiary organization. d) & (e) Yes Sir.
