Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is providing additional stoppages on public
demand and operational feasibility with a view to improve accessibility and
make journeys easier for travellers;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has received proposals to provide train halts at
Boisar and other stations of Palghar Lok Sabha Constituency for express and
superfast trains;
(d) if so, the current status of these proposals; and
(e) the timeline for approval and implementation of said proposals?

(a) to (e) On Indian Railways, provision of stoppage of train services
depends on the traffic justification, operational feasibility including
availability of extra time on the section & availability of matching
infrastructure such as Platform length etc.. Accordingly, provision of
stoppages of train services is an on-going process.
However, as the railway network straddles across boundaries of
Parliamentary Constituency, trains are operated, as per network
requirement, across such boundaries.
Presently, Palghar and Boisar stations are served by 104 (including 46
Mail/Express, 16 Passenger and 42 Suburban services) and 99 (including 41
Mail/Express, 16 Passenger and 42 Suburban services) train services
respectively. These are listed below:

Similarly, stoppage of 22927/22928 Bandra(T)-Ahmedabad Lokshakti
Express at Saphale station(located near Palghar) has also been provided
w.e.f. 04.09.2025.
Proposals/ requests/ suggestions/ representations, both formal and
informal inter alia for provision of stoppage of trains are received from
Members of Parliament, elected representatives, organizations/rail users etc.
at various levels including Railway Board, Zonal Railways, Divisional Office
etc. As receipt of such proposals/ requests/ suggestions is a continuous and
dynamic process, centralized compendium of such requests is not
maintained. However, these are examined and action as found feasible and
justified is taken from time to time, which is an on-going process.
