(a) In a medical institute under the Ministry, once the posts are created, reservation rosters are
maintained as per the instructions of the Central Government and the recruitment is carried out
accordingly. Total number of faculty posts created and filled in the Government medical
colleges/institutesunder the Ministry openedsince 2014isprovidedinAnnexure I.
(b) to (d) The tenure of contractual engagement varies from six months to two years, or until the
posts are filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier, depending on the specific needs of the
Institute. Institute-wise number of contractual faculty and other contractual employees along
with the percentage in comparison to the sanctioned regular posts in the Government medical
colleges/institutesunder the Ministry openedsince 2014,isprovidedinAnnexure II .
(e) The total number of faculty/employees of general category vis-a-vis reserved category
