2821. SHRIDIGVIJAYASINGH:
Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE be pleasedtostate:
(a) whether Government is aware that separate recruitment rules have been notified for
nursing andnon-facultyposts inAIIMS, New Delhi andotherAIIMS;
(b) whether other institutions follow their own rules or adopt the recruitment rules of AIIMS,
New Delhi andthe institute-wise status thereof;
(c) the key points of variation, including educational qualifications, experience, promotion
policiesandcadre structure, where such rulesdifferandthe reasons for such variations; and
(d) when the existing recruitment rules were notified, whether periodic reviews are
undertaken and the steps taken by Government to ensure uniformity and transparent
complianceacross all AIIMS?

(a) to (d): All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and other new
AIIMS set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) are
autonomous Institutes governed by the AIIMS Act 1956, as amended from time to time and
the Rules and Regulations made thereunder. As per AIIMS Regulations, the age, experience
and other qualifications for appointment tovarious posts in the Institute are prescribed by the
Appointing Authority of the respective Institutes.
