ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SMT. ANUPRIYAPATEL) (a) & (b)Asperthe Special bulletin on Maternal Mortality released by the Registrar General of India, the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) inthe countryhasshown a progressive decline of 5.4%, reducing from 93 per lakh live births in SRS 2019-21 to 88 per lakh live births in SRS2021-23. (c) & (d) According to Sample Registration System Report of Registrar General of India, Under 5Mortality Rate (U5MR) reduced from 31per 1000 live births in 2021to 29per 1000 live birthsin2023. *****
