RESERVED CATEGORY VACANCIES
3364. SHRI GOLLA BABURAO
Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION be pleased to state:-
a) whether DoPT directed to constitute an In-House Committee for identification of backlog
reserved vacancies, study root cause of such vacancies, initiate measures to fill them up
through Special Recruitment Drives;
(b) if so, when In-House Committee would be constituted by Ministry to identify backlog
reserved vacancies;
(c) whether Ministry has constituted Liaison Officer and set up Special Reservation Cell
under him;
(d) if so, the details thereof;
(e) whether Ministry studied root cause of such vacancies; and
(f) when had Ministry initiated measures to fill vacancies through Special Recruitment Drives
and the status of reserved vacancies since constitution of In-House Committee and now?
ANSWER
Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION (Shri Murlidhar
Mohol)
(a) to (f): Guidelines are received from Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) from
time to time for identification and filling up of backlog reserved vacancies, including
undertaking Special Recruitment Drives.
Vacancies in the Ministry are filled up by DoPT and Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The
vacancies for various grades are regularly being filled up and there is no substantive backlog
noticed.
Ministry has designated Liaison Officers and has also established a Reservation Cell. Liaison
Officers for SC/ST/ OBC/PwD and EWS have been nominated and positioned.
