RESUMPTION OF TRAIN SERVICE FROM HISAR TO LUDHIANA AND JAKHAL

Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that train numbers 54632, 54604,
54633, 54635 and 54631, which used to operate on Hisar-Ludhiana line
and Hisar-Jakhal route, have been discontinued for a long time, causing
serious inconvenience to daily commuters, students and labourers;
(b) whether the said railway lines are important connecting roads which
connect rural and industrial areas;
(c) whether any proposal for resumption of operation of these trains are
under consideration of the Railway Board;
(d) if so, the present status thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(e) whether the Government considers resuming the operation of these
trains soon in view of the increasing demand of passengers?

Passenger have been temporarily discontinued during the period
01.12.2025 to 23.02.2026.
