In response to Unstarred Question No. 1596 in Lok Sabha, regarding the SATHI Portal, the Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare stated that private seed companies have been encouraged to register and upload seed product details on the Seed Traceability, Authentication and Holistic Inventory (SATHI) Portal. As of December 9th, 2025, 11,362 private seed-producing companies have been onboarded, involved in the production of certified and labeled seeds. The SATHI portal is a G2B (Government to Business) and G2G (Government to Government) application. The portal supports English and Hindi languages.

(a) whether private seed companies have been encouraged to register and upload their seed
product details on the Seed Traceability, Authentication and Holistic Inventory Portal;
(b) if so, the number of such companies onboarded so far;
(c) whether the SATHI portal is available in multiple Indian languages to ensure the ease of
access for farmers across different States; and
(d) if so, the details of the number of languages currently supported and whether the Gujarati
language has been included for farmers in Gujarat?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. Private seed companies have been encouraged to register and
upload their seed product details on the Seed Traceability, Authentication and Holistic
Inventory (SATHI) Portal.
So far, 11,362 private seed-producing companies have been on boarded on SATHI
portal which are involved in the production of certified and labelled seeds.
(c) & (d): This portal is G2B (Government to Business) and G2G (Government to
Government) type of application with English language interface and its public interface is
supported by English & Hindi language.
