State of West Bengal;
(b) the total amount of subsidy provided to farmers under the said schemes during the
last five years; and
(c) the data of farmers who have benefitted from the Government schemes during the
last five years, scheme-wise particularly in Darjeeling, Kalimpong and North Dinajpur
districts, along with fund released in these districts?

(a) to (c): Government of India is implementing a comprehensive range of Central
Sector as well as Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes for the welfare of farmers
in the country including West Bengal. These schemes encompass entire spectrum of
agriculture including credit, insurance, income support, infrastructure, crops including
horticulture, seeds, mechanization, marketing, organic and natural farming, farmer
collectives, irrigation, extension, procurement of crops from farmers at minimum support
prices, digital agriculture.
List of such schemes may be seen at Annexure I. Details of funds released in
schemes being implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare from
2020-21 to 2024-25 in respect of West Bengal is given in Annexure II.
Agriculture being a State Subject, district-wise details of the total number of
beneficiaries including Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Dakshin Dinajpur districts of these
schemes are maintained by the State Government. However, number of beneficiaries and
total amount disbursed to Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Dakshin Dinajpur in Central Sector
Schemes i.e. PM-KISAN scheme and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) are given at
