SHRIVK SREEKANDAN: SHRIJAI PRAKASH: Will the Minister of HEALTH andFAMILYWELFAREbe pleasedtostate: (a) whether the Government haslaunchedtwo digitalhealth initiativesandif so, the detailsthereof; (b) whether it is a fact that the Government is contemplating introducing any framework or benchmark such as the Secure AI for Health Initiative and the Benchmarking Open data Platformfor HealthAI inthe future andif so, the details thereof; (c) whether it is also a fact that the two new initiatives Secure AI for Health Initiative and Benchmarking Open Data Platform for Health AI were created in collaboration between the Government andacademiaandif so, the details thereof; and (d) whether the Government proposes to formulate and implement any comprehensive roadmap to augmentandstrengthen the HealthSector inIndia andif so, the detailsthereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (d): The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched the ‘Strategy for AI in Healthcare in India’ (SAHI) and the ‘Benchmarking Open Data Platform for Health AI’ (BODH) on 17th February 2026 during the India AI impact summit. SAHI is a national guidance framework to enable the safe, ethical, evidence-based, responsible and inclusive adoption of artificial intelligence across India’s healthcare system. ‘Benchmarking Open Data Platform for Health AI’ (BODH) provides a structured mechanism for testing and benchmarking AI solutions before deployment at scale. SAHI has been developed after intensive consultation with all the major stakeholders of the healthcare ecosystem, including acedemia. Further, BODH has been developed inpartnership with IndianInstitute of Technology,Kanpur. ****
