SHRI G KUMAR NAIK: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has prepared district-wise scores and rankings based on the criteria of agricultural productivity, cropping intensity and credit disbursement for selection under Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY); (b) if so, the details and the criterion-wise scores and rankings of all districts considered for inclusion under the scheme; (c) whether the Government will place the methodology, weightage assigned to each parameter and cut-off values used for selection in the public domain; (d) whether any districts were excluded despite meeting one or more of the prescribed criteria and if so, the details thereof; and (e) whether the Government has undertaken any independent assessment or validation of the selection methodology and if so, the details and findings thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR) (a) & (b): The 100 districts under Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (DDKY) have been selected based on three indicators of low productivity, low cropping intensity and less agriculture credit disbursement. The number of districts for each State is based on net cropped area and number of operational holdings, ensuring balanced regional development and fostering agricultural growth where it is most needed. (c) & (d): The methodology used published data, which is already in public domain, of above mentioned three indicators. Each State was covered under DDKY, with at least 1 district, based on net cropped area and number of operational holdings, hence question of exclusion does not arise. Further, if States identify additional districts that require similar focused attention, they may adopt and replicate the same framework and approach in those districts using their existing administrative mechanisms and available scheme resources. (e): Since scheme is in 1st year, no independent assessment has been commissioned. *****
