(ii) Provision has been made for engagement of retired faculty at the level of Professor,
Additional Professor and Associate Professor, on contract basis, up to the age of 70 years
from Institutes of National Importance (INIs) andGovernment Medical Colleges(GMCs).
(iii) The Visiting Faculty Scheme allows Professors, Additional Professors and Associate
Professors from government institutions in India or academic institutions abroad to serve as
visiting facultyinAIIMS for teaching purposes.
