(a) whether the Government is implementing the Solar Rooftop Programme to encourage rooftop
solar installations especially in Madhya Pradesh;
(b) if so, whether the Government has extended the benefits of the programme to households in
the districts of Katni, Panna and Khajuraho town in the Khajuraho Lok Sabha Constituency;
(c) if so, the details thereof along with the measures taken by the Government to make the
programme more effective; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor along with the steps being taken to address the issue?

(a) to (d) The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy is implementing PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli
Yojana (PMSG: MBY) since February, 2024.
The scheme is demand driven, wherein all residential consumers in the country including all the
districts of Madhya Pradesh having grid connected electricity connection of the local DISCOM
can avail the benefits of the scheme by applying on the National Portal of the scheme.
The number of households that have benefited with rooftop solar installation till 14.7.2025 in the
districts of Katni, Panna and Chhatarpur (covering Khajuraho town) in the Khajuraho Lok Sabha
Constituency are given below:
