Examination Centres in Ladakh are fixed as per recommendations of Directorate of School Education, Ladakh to avoid hardships of travelling long distance to students. In order to facilitate students of winter-bound schools, the Board conducts their practical examinations in the month of November/December when the other schools across the country have practical examinations in the month of January/February.With regard to the fixation of examination centres, the centres are finalized based on the recommendations of the Directorate of School Education, Ladakh, taking into account factors such as distance, hilly terrain and other logistical challenges to minimize hardship for students. In 2026 the Two Board Policy for Class X has been implemented whereby students will get an opportunity to appear in the Second Board Examination in May, 2026 as per declared policy.
