Shri Tangella Uday Srinivas: Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state: (a) whether any projects have been approved by the Government under the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) or other schemes for sports infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh, particularly Kakinada and if so, the details thereof along with approval date, project cost and funding pattern; (b) the current status of implementation of these projects, including the phases completed and pending; (c) the total funds allocated, released and utilized for these projects along with the reasons for any delays; (d) the expected timeline for their completion and the measures taken by the Government to ensure timely execution; (e) the details of the funds requested for the ongoing projects and the funds released against that projects; and (f) the details of any pending proposals under NSDF or other schemes for the sports infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh, particularly Kakinada? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS [DR. MANSUKH MANDAVIYA](a) to (f): No infrastructure project has been sanctioned by the Government under the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) to the state of Andhra Pradesh. However, under the "Creation and Up- gradation of Sports Infrastructure” component of the Khelo India Scheme, 10 sports infrastructure projects have been sanctioned by the Government in Andhra Pradesh. Out of the 10 projects, 02 sports infrastructure projects have been sanctioned in Kakinada. The details of these projects are available in public domain on the dashboard of the Ministry at https://mdsd.kheloindia.gov.in. As per the existing guidelines of the Khelo India Scheme, the timeline of completion of infrastructure projects sanctioned under the Scheme is two years from the date of its sanction. The responsibility of executing the projects, including overcoming land acquisition or administrative hurdles, rests with the grantee. Ministry continuously reviews the progress of the sanctioned projects by way of regular review meetings with grantees, visit of project monitoring committee to the site of the projects. The Utilization Certificates (UCs) of the released funds are constantly monitored so that funds can be released in timely manner, to ensure prompt completion of the projects. Funds are released to the respective project proponents on the basis of the formalities completed/documents received, in terms of the guidelines of the Khelo India Scheme. Receiving of proposals under NSDF and Khelo India Scheme is an ongoing process. The proposals received from the State/UT Governments and other eligible entities are considered for financial support, subject to their completeness, technical feasibility and availability of funds under the Scheme. *****
