STATUS OF FPOs IN THE COUNTRY
841. SHRI PRAKASH CHIK BARAIK:
Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of Farmer Produce Organizations (FPOs) in country as on 1st January, 2026;
(b) the total number of FPOs that have been registered as 100 percent women members; and
(c) the total number of women farmers out of the overall registration in all FPOs in the country?
ANSWER

(a): Under the Central Sector Scheme of ‘Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs Scheme’ of
Government of India, 10,000 FPOs have since been formed.
(b): Out of 10,000 FPOs registered under the Scheme, 1,175 FPOs are registered with 100%
women members.
(c): As of 1st January, 2026, out of total 56.32 lakh farmers registered under the Central Sector
Scheme of ‘Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs Scheme, 21.96 lakh are women farmers.
