STATUS OF LABOUR WELFARE SCHEME IN ANDHRA PRADESH
224. SHRI BASTIPATI NAGARAJU:
Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to
state:
(a)the details of beneficiaries covered under the Labour Welfare
Scheme in the country, State/UT and category-wise with special
reference to Andhra Pradesh indicating the beneficiary and district-
wise breakup under the three components, namely Health,
Scholarship and Housing;
(b)the budget allocated, funds released and actual expenditure
incurred under the Labour Welfare Scheme during the last five
years and the current year, year and category-wise;
(c)whether any evaluation, review or impact assessment of the
scheme has been conducted and if so, the details thereof, including
the key findings and action taken on the recommendations thereon;
and
(d)the details of outreach, awareness and grievance redressal
mechanisms put in place under the Labour Welfare Scheme during
the last five years including the number of camps held, workers
covered and complaints received and disposed of in the country,
State/UT-wise and district-wise in Andhra Pradesh?

(a) to (d): The details of region / state wise beneficiaries covered
under the Labour Welfare Scheme are at Annexure I and in district of
Andhra Pradesh at Annexure II.
The expenditure incurred under the Labour Welfare
Scheme during the last five years is at Annexure III.

A third-party evaluation of the Labour Welfare Scheme has
been conducted for the period 2021–2025. The evaluation report
concluded the schemes continues to provide benefits to workers
covered under the scheme and recommended continuation of the
Labour Welfare Scheme.
The Labour Welfare Organisations conducts outreach and
awareness camps under the Labour Welfare Scheme. The Region
wise /State/UT details are at Annexure IV and in Andhra Pradesh
district wise at Annexure V.
Total camps conducted during last five years in the State
of Andhra Pradesh is at Annexure VI.
The Government has the grievance redressal mechanisms
in the form of CPGRAM Portal. The total number of grievances
received and disposed off in this portal in the O/o Directorate General
Labour Welfare (DGLW) during the last five years is at Annexure VII.
