5823. Smt. Mala Roy:
Will the Minister of CORPORATE AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the present status of Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme as on date;
(b) the amount of fund allocated for the said Scheme till 15 March, 2026;
(c) the amount of fund utilised as on 15 March, 2026; and
(d) the number of participants of the said scheme as on 15 March, 2026?

(a): As an initiation to the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS), which was
announced in the Budget 2024-25, Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched a Pilot
Project on 3rd October, 2024. Two rounds of the Pilot Project have been completed
and Round III of the Pilot Project has started on 20.03.2026 with revised guidelines.
(b) and (c): Details of amount sanctioned and utilized for the Prime Minister
Internship Scheme since inception is placed at Annexure.
(d): As on 15.03.2026, over 16,060 interns joined their internship under Round I &
Round II of PMIS Pilot Project.

Details of amount sanctioned and utilized for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme
as on 15.03.2026 is given below:

*Rs. 10831.07 crore has been allocated to the Ministry for the main Scheme.
However, the main scheme could not be commenced, and Pilot Project has been
continued.
