**Summary:**
Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 865, answered on July 24, 2025, by the Minister of State for Jal Shakti, addresses concerns regarding the supply of water from the Beas and Satluj rivers to Rajasthan. The response clarifies that the supply of water to Rajasthan from these rivers has not been barred. The distribution of surplus Ravi-Beas waters is governed by the 1981 Agreement, and the distribution of Sutlej water is governed by the 1959 Bhakra Nangal Agreement. To address the ongoing water crisis in Rajasthan, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Haryana and Rajasthan for the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the transfer of Yamuna water from Hathnikund to Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and other districts of Rajasthan via underground pipelines. Both states have formed a Task Force to facilitate this project.
