(a) whether the Government is aware of the prevailing agrarian distress and challenges
faced by farmers in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra due to erratic rainfall, lack of
irrigation facilities and crop losses;
(b) if so, the details of the specific measures taken or proposed by the Government to
support small and marginal farmers in Hingoli, including provision of crop insurance,
improved irrigation infrastructure and access to high quality seeds and fertilizers;
(c) whether any Central schemes such as PM-KISAN, PMFBY or the Soil Health Card
Scheme are being effectively implemented in Hingoli and if so, the number of
beneficiaries under each scheme during the last three years; and
(d) whether the Government plans to establish any agro-processing units, FPOs
(Farmer Producer Organisations) or agricultural research centres in Hingoli to enhance
farmers' income and promote value addition?

(a) to (d): As reported by the State Government of Maharashtra, the State is aware
of the agrarian issues in Hingoli District. In order to support the farmers including small
and marginal farmers, for risk management due to crop loss and ensure remunerative
returns for agro-produce, a number of schemes have been implemented.Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan), the number of
beneficiaries increased from 44,936 in 2022-23 to 1,12,341 in 2024-25 in Hingoli
district.
For insuring farmers against crop loss, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana
(PMFBY) is being implemented in the State. The number of beneficiaries of PMFBY,
who received claims, in Hingoli district is given below:
