(a) to (c): Ministry of Health and Family Welfare implements Strengthening of Tertiary Care
Cancer Facilities Scheme. Under this scheme, one time support for civil work and
procurement of equipment is provided for setting up of 19 State Cancer Institutes (SCI) and
20 Tertiary Care Cancer Centres (TCCC) across the country. Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), agrant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, has established six hospitals
across the country in Varanasi, Visakhapatnam, New Chandigarh, Guwahati, Sangrur and
Muzaffarpurtoprovide highquality comprehensive cancercare treatment.
