uniform recruitmentpractices across States/UTs;
(d) if so, the status of implementation of these measures including the establishment and
functioning of State Councils and the reasons for any delay or non-compliance by States in

(a) & (b) : The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Profession (NCAHP)
has been constituted, inter-alia, for regulation and maintenance of standards of education
and services by allied and healthcare professionals listed under the Schedule of NCAHP
Act, 2021. The Professional Council members along with the taskforce members under
the Commission, have beenassigned the task of draftingthe curriculumfor Advance Care
ParamedicandEmergency Medical Technologist.
(c) & (d): Regulations for recognition of Allied and Healthcare institutions are under
process in the Commission. Further, responsibility of constitution of State Allied andHealthcare Council lies with the respective State Government. Twenty-five States/UTs
have already constituted their respective State Council for Allied and Healthcare
Professions underNCAHPAct, 2021.
(e): Public Health is a state subject and State Governments are primarily responsible
