2989. SHRI VAMSI KRISHNA GADDAM:
Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that Rechni Road and
Mandamarri Railway Station in Mancherial district, Telangana lack
halts for important passenger services including Train Nos.
17003/17004 (Ramagiri Express) and 17033/17034 (Singareni
Express) causing hardship to daily commuters, workers and
students in the region in view of growing population, coal industry
workforce and limited train connectivity and if so, the details and
the steps taken therefor;
(b) whether any proposals have been received for providing
stoppages for the above trains at Rechni Road and Mandamarri
station and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any feasibility study with respect to passenger load,
operational feasibility and revenue implications has been conducted
and if so, the details of outcome thereof;
(d) whether the Government proposes to approve stoppages for the
said trains and if so, the details and timeline for implementation
thereof;
(e) whether the Government is aware that the existing Foot Over
Bridge at Rechni Road station is insufficient to handle growing
passenger volume, posing safety risks especially to elderly persons,
women and children and if so, the details thereof; and
(f) whether any proposal for extension / construction of an additional
Foot Over Bridge has been examined or approved and if so, the
details thereof including estimated cost and timeline for execution?

Besides, provision of stoppage of train services on Indian Railways
is an on-going process, depending on the traffic justification,
operational feasibility including availability of extra time on the
section & availability of matching infrastructure such as Platform
length etc.
Proposals/ requests/ suggestions/ representations, both formal and
informal inter alia for introduction/restoration of trains are received
from Members of Parliament, elected representatives,
organizations/rail users etc. at various levels including Railway
Board, Zonal Railways, Divisional Office etc. As receipt of such
proposals/ requests/ suggestions is a continuous and dynamic
process, centralized compendium of such requests is not
maintained. However, these are examined and action as foundfeasible and justified is taken from time to time, which is an on-
going process.
Rechni Road is a non Surban Grade (NSG)-06 category station. At
present, 01 FOB is available at this station as per norms of Minimum
Essential Amenities (MEA). This is adequate to cater to the present
level of traffic. However, upgradation of passenger amenities
including provision of additional FOB, is a continuous and on-going
process depending upon volume of traffic, inter se priority of works
subject to availability of funds.
