GOVERNMENT OFINDIA MINISTRYOFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE DEPARTMENT OFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE LOK SABHA UNSTARREDQUESTION NO. 2221 TOBE ANSWERED ON31STJULY, 2026 TRAUMACARE FACILITY 2221.SHRISAPTAGIRISANKAR ULAKA: Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFARE tobe pleasedtostate: (a) whether the Government is aware that the 200-bed Level-I Trauma Care Facility at Panikoili in Jajpur district, Odisha, constructed at a cost of about Rs.102 crore and inaugurated in June 2025, remainsnon-operationaland if so, the detailsthereofandthe reasons therefor; (b) the current status of infrastructure, medical equipment, sanctioned posts and recruitment of doctors, nurses andparamedicalpersonnel; (c) whether the Government has received any proposal from the Government of Odisha for operationalisation of the facility as a Government Hospital/Sub-Divisional Hospital and if so, the detailsthereof; (d) whether any proposal to operate the facility under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode is underconsiderationandif so, the details thereof; and (e) the steps taken by the Government in this regard and the timeline fixed for making the facility fullyoperationalinview of itsstrategic locationonNH-16 andNH-20? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (e) As reported by the Government of Odisha, a 200-bed Level-I Trauma Care Facility has been established at Panikoili in Jajpur district, Odisha, to strengthen emergency and trauma care services in the region. The Government has decided to operate the facility under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and has engaged HLL Lifecare Ltd., Kerala, as the operating partner to manage and operationalize the facility, ensuring the delivery of quality, efficient, and specialized trauma care services. *****
