Smt. June Maliah: Will the Minister of DEVELOPMENT OF NORTH EASTERN REGION be pleased to state: (a) the total number of sanctioned posts in position and the number of vacancies including reserved posts across categories in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER); (b) the details of total number of vacancies in the Ministry including reserved posts since 2014 year and category-wise; and (c) the details of the number of contractual employees hired since 2014 year and category- wise? ANSWER The Minister of State of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region [Dr. Sukanta Majumdar] (a) and (b) The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) is the cadre controlling authority for the post of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Staff Car Driver (SCD) only. For the other posts, the respective cadre controlling Authorities, i.e, Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT), Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Department of Official Language (DOL) etc. maintain the reservation roster and category wise incumbency / vacancy details. The detailed sanctioned strength and vacancy position in respect of this Ministry is given at Annexure-A. The year-wise and category-wise details of vacancy of MDoNER in respect of the posts of MTS and SCD are given at Annexure-B. (c) This Ministry hire Service Providers / Human Resource Agencies, following the GFR, 2017 norms; and required number of contractual staff are provided by the agencies to this Ministry on need basis. Therefore, the category wise details are not available with this Ministry.
