As informed by PGIMER, 3rd Cadre Review for restructuring of various cadres in respect of non-faculty staff including nursing staff has been carried out. As regards to delay in promotion in respect to Nursing staff, the Hon'ble CAT, Chandigarh in OA No. 751 of 2022 titled as "Hemant Kumar and other vs. PGI" vide its judgement dated 17.07.2025 has "restrained" PGIMER from conducting Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting from Senior Nursing Officer (SNO) to Assistant Nursing Superintendent (ANS) post in the current form and has mentioned certain compliances to be ascertained within 6 months before the DPCisconducted. (c) As informed by GMCH & GMSH, OPD, Emergency or Trauma services are managed by the hospitals with the help of the available staff. PGIMER has further informed that it is working beyond its optimal capacity in all the patient care areas so that the services are not adversely affected. (d) Nursing and Paramedical employees are engaged through outsource basis on functional requirementof the hospital concerned. (e) Creation of posts is done as perfunctional requirement of the hospital concerned. Filling of the newly created and vacant posts is a continuous administrative process undertaken from time totime. *****
