(c) whether all applicants have been admitted to these Colleges/Institutes and if so, the details
thereof;
(d) whether there are vacant seats in various courses in Government and non-Government medical
colleges/Institutions;

(f) whether the Government has taken or is planning to take any steps to fill the vacant seats in

(a) to (c) As informed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), there are total 1,28,875 Under
Graduate Seats & 80291 Post Graduate seats in Government & Private medical colleges in the
country in the year 2025-26. The Government and Private college wise details of seats are at
Annexure-I.
(d) to (g) Four rounds of UG Counselling 2025 for MBBS seats are completed as per Hon’ble
Supreme Court of India vide order dated 16.12.2021.The Academic Session for 2025-26 hasbegun
from 22nd September 2025. Total 72 MBBS seats in All India Quota (AIQ) remained vacant in
Government/ Non-Government institutes afterfour rounds asperAnnexure-II.
