In response to Unstarred Question No. 773 for Lok Sabha, to be answered on December 4th, 2025, regarding the Valmikinagar Airport under the UDAN Scheme, Minister of State in the Ministry of Civil Aviation Shri Murlidhar Mohol stated the following:
(a) 93 unserved and underserved airports, including 15 heliports and 2 water aerodromes, have been operationalised under the Regional Connectivity Scheme-Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (RCS-UDAN).
(b) Valmikinagar Airport in Bihar has been identified for development and operationalisation of RCS flights under the UDAN Scheme, with an allocation of Rs 25 crores under the Revival of unserved airstrips Scheme.
(c) Aircraft operations are currently taking place from all operationalised airports under UDAN, except for 16 airports where operations are temporarily discontinued due to aircraft shortage, weather-related issues, and other technical reasons.

Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION be pleased to state:-
(a) the number of airports included under the UDAN scheme across the country;
(b) whether the approved airport at Valmikinagar in Bihar has also been included
or is proposed to be included under the said scheme and if so, the details thereof;
and
(c) whether aircraft operations are taking place on a daily basis from the airports
included under the said scheme and if so, the details thereof?
