VILLAGES IDENTIFIED UNDER JJM IN UTTAR PRADESH

Will the Minister of Jal Shakti be pleased to state:
(a) the number of villages identified for providing drinking water supply through pipelines
under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in each development block of Etah, Kasganj, Ambedkar
Nagar, Bareilly, Badaun and Shahjahanpur districts of Uttar Pradesh;
(b) the details and names of the villages in these districts where the target of hundred per cent
tap water connections to every household has been achieved under JJM;
(c) the details and names of the development blocks in these districts and Anola Lok Sabha
Constituency where the repair work of damaged roads has been completed by the concerned
agency after laying the pipelines and the places where the said work is still pending; and
(d) the reasons for non-achievement of targets in such villages and blocks?

(a) Drinking Water is a ‘State’ subject, and hence, under JJM, the responsibility of planning,
approval, implementation, operation & maintenance of drinking water supply schemes lies with
State/UT Governments. The Government of India supports the States by providing technical
and financial assistance. The Union Cabinet has approved extension of the Jal Jeevan Mission
(JJM), with an enhanced outlay and a restructured implementation framework focusing on
structural reforms in the rural drinking water supply sector under JJM 2.0.
As informed by the State of UP, number of Blocks and Block wise Villages identified for
providing drinking water supply through Pipelines under Jal Jeevan Mission in the mentioned
districts are as below: -

(b) State of Uttar Pradesh has informed that the details and names of the villages in districts
where the target of hundred percent tap water connections has been achieved are as below:-

Further, the names of the villages in Etah, Kasganj, Ambedkar Nagar, Bareilly, Badaun and
Shahjahanpur districts of Uttar Pradesh where the target of hundred per cent tap water
connections to every household has been achieved under JJM are in the public domain and are
accessible at https://ejalshakti.gov.in/jjmreport/JJMState.aspx
(c) State has informed that in District Etah, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the
executing agencies in 560 Villages across 08 blocks (Sheetalpur, Nidhauli Kalan, Awagarh,
Marhara, Sakeet, Jalesar, Aliganj and Jaithara). In remaining 205 villages, the dismantled road
has been made motorable and restoration work is in progress. In remaining 87 villages, no road
has been dismantled.
In District Kasganj, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing agencies in
556 Villages across 07 blocks (Kasganj,Sahawar, Patiyali, Sidhpura, Amanpur, Soron and
Page 2 of 3Ganjdundwara) In remaining 69 villages, the dismental road has been made motorable and
restoration work is under progress. In remaining 29 villages, no road has been dismantled.
In District Ambedkar Nagar, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing
agencies in 1431 Villages across 09 blocks (Akbarpur, Baskhari, Bhiti, Bhiyaon, Jahagirganj,
Jalalpur, Katehari, Ramnagar and Tanda). In the remaining 142 villages, the dismantled road
has been made motorable and restoration work is in progress. In remaining 27 villages, no road
has been dismantled.
In District Bareilly, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing agencies in
1369 Villages across 15 blocks (Alampur Jafrabad, Baheri, Bhadpura, Bhojpura, Bhuta,
Bithrichainpur, Damkhoda, Faridpur, Fatehganj, Kyara, Majhgawan, Mirganj, Nawabganj,
Ramnagar and Shergarh). In the remaining 435 villages, the dismantled road has been made
motorable and restoration work is in progress. In remaining 62 villages, no road has been
dismantled.
Parliamentary constituency Anola covers Alampur Jafrabad, Bhuta, Bithrichainpur, Faridpur,
Kyara, Majhgawan and Ramnagar Blocks of District Bareilly. 100% road restoration has been
completed in 568 villages by the executing agencies and in 181 village, the dismantled road
has been made motorable and restoration work is in progress.
Parliamentary constituency Anola covers Dataganj , Jagat, Mion, Qadarchowk, Samrer, Ujhani
and Usawan Blocks of district Badaun. 100% road restoration has been completed in 277
villages by the executing agencies and in 276 villages, the dismantled road has been made
motorable and restoration work is in progress.
In District Budaun, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing agencies in
830 Villages across 15 blocks (Amblapur, Asafpur, Bisauli, Dahgawan, Dataganj, Islamnagar,
Jagat, Mion, Quadar Chowk, Sahaswan, Salarpur, Samrer, Ujhani, Usawan and Wazirganj). In
remaining 616 villages, the dismantled road has been made motorable and restoration work is
in progress. In the remaining 30 villages, no road has been dismantled.
In District Shahjahanpur, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing agencies
in 1546 Villages across 15 blocks (Banda, Bhawalkhera, Dadrol, Jaitipur, Jalalbad, Kalan,
Kanth, Khudaganj katha, Khutar, Madnapur, Mirzapur, Nigohi, Powayan, Sindhauli and
Tilhar). In remaining 486 villages, the dismantled road has been made motorable and
restoration work is in progress. In the remaining 56 villages, no road has been dismantled.
(d) State of UP has informed that Covid 19 pandemic and non-availability of machinery, man
power, materials etc. are the reasons for delay in execution. All the schemes are targeted to be
completed by the extended mission period.
