SHRIMATHESWARANV S: Will the Minister of HEALTHAND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleased tostate: (a) whether any actions have been taken by the Government against such hospitals where irregularitiesor violations have beenreportedinthe Stateof Tamil Nadu; and (b) if so, the details thereof including the number of hospitals de-empanelled, suspended or penalisedalongwith the amount of penaltyleviedduring the last five years, district-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATEIN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAOJADHAV) (a) & (b): Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is governed on a zero-tolerance approach towards fraud. National Anti-Fraud Unit (NAFU) uses AI/ML- based automated triggers to flag unusual claim patterns such as duplicate entries, inflated proceduresor misuse of patientidentity etc. NAFU works in close coordination with the State Anti-Fraud Units to investigate and take action against cases of fraud. Appropriate actions including suspension, warning letter, de- empanelment of hospitals, levying penalty lodging of FIRs are taken against fraudulent entities. As on 28.02.2026, 5 hospitals have been de-empanelled, 26 hospitals are suspended and penalties amounting to Rs 1.74 crore have been levied for fraudulent activities in the state of Tamil Nadu. *****
