(c) the details of the nature of support, implementing agencies and targeted regions or use-
cases such as medical logistics, disaster response or last-mile connectivity; and
(d) the details of proposed initiatives, partnerships or investment plans aimed at integrating
various States including Odisha, into the national aviation growth strategy?

India 2026 is Asia's largest civil aviation event, connecting global stakeholders
through exhibitions and high-level dialogues. The key objectives of the event
are: i) To showcase India's civil aviation growth and investment opportunities in
the aviation ecosystem. ii) To facilitate collaboration among global airlines,
Original equipment manufacturer (OEMs), infrastructure providers, investors,
and technology leaders. iii) To promote innovation in safety, sustainability,
Advanced Air Mobility, and digital aviation. iv) To enable partnerships via
Government to Government(G2G)/Business to Business(B2B)/Business to
Government(B2G) meetings, roundtable conferences, and panel discussions. v)
To support Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by highlighting
domestic capabilities. vi) To foster knowledge sharing and growth through
conferences, technical sessions, and engagement with youth. (b) & (c): Wings
India acts as a platform for collaboration between the aviation industry and both
central and state governments, focusing on idea exchange and ecosystem
development for the civil aviation sector, including Advanced Air Mobility
(AAM). AAM projects are promoted through dedicated sessions, policy
roundtables, and demonstration opportunities during the event. Advanced Air
Mobility (AAM) is an emerging area globally as a new technology in air
transport. The Ministry of Civil Aviation is actively engaging with stakeholders
to explore the potential of AAM in India. Wings India 2026 is envisioned as a
platform to facilitate dialogue, raise awareness, and showcase upcoming AAM
technologies, with the aim of supporting future regulatory and project
development frameworks. Relevant engagements are ongoing with OEMs, State
Governments, regulatory authorities and others stakeholders to identify feasible
use-cases including medical logistics, disaster response and last-mile
connectivity. (d): The UDAN scheme, launched to boost regional air
connectivity by developing unserved and underserved airports in Tier-2 and
Tier-3 cities, actively involves State Governments in the national aviation
growth strategy. Airports and airstrips are identified in consultation with the
respective States, which also provide consent for development and support
through various incentives such as free land, reduced VAT on aviation turbine
fuel (ATF), and cost-sharing for infrastructure and services like security and
firefighting. States also play a vital role in land acquisition for greenfield
airports and the expansion of existing airport infrastructure. The successful
growth of India's aviation sector relies heavily on the collaborative efforts of the
central government and various states including Odisha. While the centralgovernment sets the national vision and policies, the states play a critical role in
their implementation by providing necessary land and infrastructure support,
offering financial and non-financial incentives to promote air travel and creating
a supportive environment for airlines and aviation-related businesses.
