Parliament Question: Women SHGs trained under Namo Drone Didi Scheme

MS. INDU BALA GOSWAMI: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE & FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to state: (a) the number of women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs) trained under the Namo Drone Didi scheme in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh; and (b) the funds allocated by Government for providing drones to women's SHGs under the said scheme for the period from 2023-24 to 2025-26? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR) (a) & (b): The Government has approved ‘Namo Drone Didi’ as Central Sector Scheme for providing drones to the Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) with an outlay of Rs. 1261 Crores for the period from 2023-24 to 2025-26. Lead Fertilizer Companies (LFCs) have distributed 1094 drones to drone didis of SHGs in 2023-24 using their internal resources. Out of these 1094 drones distributed, 500 drones have been distributed under the Namo Drone Didi Scheme. 4 numbers of drones have been supplied to the SHGs of the State of Himachal Pradesh. As per the information provided by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Himachal Pradesh, it does not cover SHGs from Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. *****
