NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th February, 2026
S.O. 722(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred on Department of Agricultural Research and
Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India under PART III, Sl. no. 7 of
the Allocation of Business Rules, the Central Government hereby decides that it is necessary and expedient
in public interest to recognise the breeds of livestock and poultry specified in column (3) and their Accession
Number in column (5) of species mentioned in column (2) of the Table below; it is hereby notified that the
said breeds of livestock and poultry shall be the notified breeds of the States mentioned in column (4) to be
kept and reared for purposes of animal husbandry, production, breeding, conservation, utilization,
consumption and trade; and shall be the notified breeds for the whole of India for the above purposes with
effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette of Govt. of India, namely:-
