S.O. 1480(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Seeds Act, 1966 (54 of
1966), the Central Government, after consultation with the Central Seed Committee, is of the opinion that it
is necessary and expedient to regulate the quality of the seeds of the varieties specified under column (3) of
the Table below of the kinds specified in the corresponding entries under column (2) of the said Table,
hereby declares that the said varieties of seeds shall be the notified varieties for the purposes of the Act and
shall be sold for purpose of agriculture in the States or Union Territories as the case may be, mentioned in
the corresponding entries under column (4) of the said Table, with effect from the date of publication of
